I do believe it's worth playing all routes (except maybe Comedy) because of the way they weave the overall narrative together, but as a consequence of having 100 endings not all of them will be bangers.

If you want a clear example of how mechanics can create a mood, play this game.

-This game's combat is some of the most unique I've seen in the genre, despite it wearing its inspirations on its sleeve.

the story is VERY fun, its characters are cool, funny, interesting, all sorts of compliments are deserved, the voice acting varies widely in quality but even without it the characters are given enough personality through the dialogue and sprites.

It's strong point, for me, is definitely the gameplay loop, the battles are exciting, each character feels unique, with varied strong and weak points and figuring out the puzzle for each battle and optimizing each action feels genuinely fulfilling.

The presentation is, as usual for this studio, honestly great, with the graphics, effects, music, UI, and cinematic direction all being high quality.
