(Before I go any further, I would STRONGLY advise NOT to get the 5th one, as the story requires you to consult with an oracle!)
Overall, the gameplay of Chicken Invaders 3 is better than this one (except for the last 3 levels), but if you still love the Chicken Invaders series, and want to play an easier, relaxed game, play this one, it's not frustrating, like Chicken Invaders 3 (unless you do it in Veteran or Superhero Star difficulties).
The latter version has more content, better graphics, and more fun gimmicks, but also more difficulty and unlockables grinding needed (mostly cosmetics, though).
If you can forget about it then it is a great game, the best one in the series with decent soundtrack.
What to say about this game, intresting graphics, great multiplayer, controller support, unlockables, many weapons, levels are not stereotypical, achievements, trading cards and most importantly, developers who actually care about the game.
Single player or Online Co-Op, You'll have lots of fun playing this title.
