What players think
The recurring themes across 39 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
That said, TAPE 101 remains one of the better single-player, more linear Backrooms games with a decent narrative that wisely eschews ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI voice-acting for written text (sometimes the "old way" of doing things is the best way of doing things).
The standout mechanic is the Remote Control car (duh!), which can be remotely controlled to assist with puzzles and exploration.
