Heroes of the Seven Islands

The classes are very straightforward and fast to understand, same with attributes, after a couple hours I more or less got the gist of a proper mechanic to steamroll everything, even upping the standard difficulty a couple skulls up to not feel I was obliterating everything.

Enjoyed the combat right up until the sixth island, became a bit repetitive at that point.

One of the most distinctive features of the game is its hand-drawn art style.

The story balances elements of high fantasy and whimsy, featuring anthropomorphic heroes who bring a refreshing charm to the narrative.

The game has full party creation for your 4 party members and you can choose from a range of classes that will be familiar to anyone who's played a good number of based RPGs before, with the four I choose for my playthrough (knight, minstrel, sorcerer and thief) all feeling fairly balanced overall, although they all hit their peak at different times.

There were some challenging battles (the bleed effect can be particularly devastating to your party's health), but with fully customizable difficulty scaling, I would say that it's super accessible to complete newbies to the genre.
