Winter Burrow

What I Liked: Craft from storage, no gear durability, the warmth mechanic, no map and the game felt just the right length.

The characters are well designed and their stories have different impacts that hit deep, but some weren't long enough I think.

The game works with the default controller configuration, displays appropriate controller icons, and its default graphics configuration performs appropriately on the handheld.

Players are encouraged to proceed at their own pace, making exploration feel more like a carefully prepared expedition than a desperate struggle against unforgiving systems.

The combat was actually really good, from weaving and dodging the enemies as you attack.

The controls are easy to pick up (I'm making note of this as someone who had to reconfigure the buttons for my controller), and the characters have a surprising amount of depth and complexity.
