What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Bought this game because I had fun playing it back in the day when it first came out, did not complete it then looking forward to it this time around, the game is immersive, the level of attention to detail for its time is insane and still I would say to this date it sets a decent baseline benchmark, where characters had some meaningful depth and nuance, your choices matter to an extent but well at least it not pushing dry plain woke ♥♥♥♥ narrative story like modern titles, the character and their story feel so correct.
Gameplay is where Far Cry 4 clearly improves.
Visuals: 5.5/10 - The map generally looks good but lacks depth.
Audio: 4.5/10 - The score and music is fine.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
