Gameplay feels also pretty solid; had no issues with platforming or much at all with the combat.
There are secrets littered everywhere, tons of branching paths, a charm system for various boosts, and even hidden characters to unlock.
Killer music, awesome EGA-style visuals, mountains of gore, and all with at least six different playable characters (in 3 broad classes, although each pair of characters in a class are pretty different too).
Sound effects are awesome, most, but not all enemy attacks have audio telegraphs which is helpful, but could be more consistent across the board.
A good example for this are the items and inventory management -- throughout the levels you can pick up currency and find treasures in hidden areas, but in order to actually use these items, you have to exit the current area, something the game very actively discourages you from doing.
