+gamma lets you adjust the brightness of the screen "+gamma 8.5" was default for the old tube monitors... you can play around with this if you have lighting issues.

Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
These dont really break gameplay and fully function in all gamemodes, so enabling cheats to use these functions is ok if you agree with your gamemates that they can be used.

Story and characters
Players who bring up Story and characters mostly praise it.
The campaign mode introduces the lore through a series of challenging missions that build in complexity, but the real strength of the game lies in its sandbox-style skirmish and multiplayer battles, where its systems are allowed to flourish without constraint.

A standout feature that still garners praise is the game’s soundtrack, composed by Jeremy Soule.

Interface
Players who bring up Interface mostly praise it.
a neat feature on the main menu is to type "dxdeath" which will enable or disable a Cavedog logo in the lower middle of the menuscreen. if you click that... in the old days it would allow you to view the credit screen... also while enabled it would allow you to manually pick missions rather then unlocking missions as you played.
