They also added a quest tracker without needing to keep the quest panel open which was a great add.
However one of the biggest features is the ability to create PVP only characters, so you don't have to play every single class in the campaign side of the game and level them to experience high-end PVP, there is still a progression system in needing to unlock skills via playing and access to the best gear, but you get to skip the grind if PVP is your goal.

The reforged update made small tweaks to modernize the game, like gamepad support (with that noticeably better movement control when using WASD on keyboard as the game was largely click to move focused during development), further render distance, improved lighting with SSAO, and HD bloom.
