Heroes® of Might & Magic® III - HD Edition

I’m saying it with the critical eye of someone who has played strategy titles across multiple eras, and very few — if any — manage to balance mechanical depth, interface clarity, and infinite replayability the way this game does.

They didn't add any unnecessary textures, or redesigned parts of the game to make it likable for the new audience, they have focused on making the pre-existing graphics more pixelated, resulting in a game generally looking better.

The story is connected and they did a nice thing of you playing on good and bad side, so you can see the reasoning behind the war as well.

This is probably a perfect game for multiplayer play, with just the right mix different elements; and, it's turn-based, which makes it more laid-back than RTS games are.

Game of my childhood and still fun to play, with good soundtrack and a bit of nostalgia.

I have the fondest memories of playing this with friends as well, coop against the enemies.
