Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna)

Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) is a beautifully presented, tastefully told tale, based on a traditional folk story from the Iñupiat people - an Alaskan native tribe.

You can switch between controlling the Nuna or Fox, and a co-op partner can take the form of Fox in local co-op only, making it a relaxing couch co-op game.

The visuals are top notch and for me carried most of the attraction.

In short, Never Alone is a fun, quick 2d platformer with cultural insight, tense gameplay, and moderate difficulty.

Combined with the Iñupiaq narration, the sound design gives the experience a meditative quality that encourages patience and attentiveness rather than urgency.

It's atmospheric art style, engaging co-operative gameplay and character design meld together to hook the player into the lives and legends of the Iñupiaq tribes.
