The amount of addictional mechanics was a bit overwhelming at first but in the end it grew on me.

I like the battle system, it seems to make more sense to me, and have more basic logic than the Warhammer system, specifically focusing on the core aspects we know: melee infantry, spears, archers and/or slingers, skirmishers/javelins, and chariots which function as cavalry.

Some of the best graphics in the series, the studio definitely knows what they're doing graphically wise.

So campaign wise, it is very fleshed out, trade actually becomes NECESSARY at the early and mid game in order to get what you want in terms of buildings or maintain an army you normally couldn't with your own infrastructure.
