What players think

Before I continue writing my review on this game, I got to say that the PC port of Valkyria Chronicles is one of the best, if not, the best port.
While retaining the fun of its genre to the maximum extent, it perfectly integrated relatively freely controllable third-person shooter gameplay into it.
TL;DR This is a fun, tactical, turn-based JRPG with a good story, fun gameplay, and neat visuals.
The plot that focuses on anti-war may only be described as neither good nor bad, but the moderate length, easy-to-understand narrative style, and full voice acting are perfectly coordinated with the tactical part of the game, making it feel surprisingly comfortable both in terms of gaming and reading experience.
You can play the game in 16:9 Full HD and 60fps, using either a controller or Keyboard/Mouse.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
