Realms of the Haunting

In another deviation from the norm, you can also examine damn near every item you come across (with voice acting, too!), and you get a female sidekick early on; while she's never visible in-game, not even in mirrors, she's constantly commenting on things you see, and you can enter in-depth conversations with her about important plot points that really flesh out the story.

The graphics are impressive for the time, the mapping especially is so well thought out and designed that I was always amazed whenever I arrived at a new location.

Because of this, I'll give this game a 7/10 for the gameplay.

The controls, with the US patch and a bit of rebinding in both dosbox and my mouse's software ended up being pretty good and fairly close to a more modern FPS.

The OST and sound design on the other hand, are actually quite good.

I found the difficulty to be very fair, if you have a good handle on the controls and don't mind a bit of puzzle solving, you can progress at a good pace.
