The story in this game is an amazing improvement over the second game, while literally continuing the story of the 1st game (while incorporating the characters from the second in a way that makes sense).

-This new gameplay, different from the usual system, is easy to pick up while remaining engaging, and the decision to keep some aspects of the usual JRPG system like item inventory management, xp system, upgrading weapons etc allows the whole thing to work brilliantly
