I would not be spending so much time writing this review and playing this game if I thought there were none.
After watching the trailer I was excited to pick up Dark Scrolls to play co-op with my partner.
Listen, it needs work, the balance is incredibly off, the difficulty is very inconsistent, and there are bugs, but there's something beneath everything that's unique, fun, and it brings me back again and again with a colorful cast of really cool characters and graphics/music.
Spritework and artstyle are very appealing from the character/enemy designs to the backgrounds; sound design is incredibly charming,
