What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It's amazing how much the remastered game upgraded its visuals from the original game, it's good in both performance and quality.
the gameplay is largely identical to the original platypus (which itself is already a blast), not just in terms of mechanics and the the "overall vibe", but also a bunch of quality-of-life improvements over the 2002 game, such as (but not necessarily limited to):
right off the bat, i was greeted by a charming sense of familiarity - beautiful artwork in the iconic claymation style, an updated version of a banger soundtrack, and even the layouts of the levels themselves have been faithfully recreated
there may be a slight nostalgia-induced bias in this review, considering i've been playing this game on-and-off for 15 years (i have very fond memories of playing couch co-op with my grandma, as well as the gamehouse games collection in general), but i'll try to be as objective as possible in my review :)
- two free DLC (at the time of writing this review, winter and halloween themed), very short but still enjoyable
- A version of the original game with a new coat of paint, better controller support, compatibility, etc.

Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
