What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The soundtrack is punchy, the pixel art is really detailed and stimulating, the enemies are quirky and varied, and the gameplay is varied and exciting.
Many funny elements give room to the player to have his own relationship with this narrative, even as leftist I value the fact that it has a subtle way of raising the issue of revolution.
If you ignore the bickering from teenage right-libertarians with their unfounded confidence and very limited understanding of the workers movement, socialism, history and politics ("mAsS STARvatIon DLC whEN?!"), what you get here is a very enjoyable, casual game with fun gameplay, decent art style and a lot of humour.

Personally I thought it was worth it for the gameplay, amazing art and soundtrack, and ofc to support a co-op game studio, this game and PPU51 (the game studio) are an inspiration to aspiring game dev leftists like me.
If you play with a controller, movement with the joystick is much better, but aiming with the controller is an absolute joke.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
