Expansions and Long-Term Replayability
I like the art style, the UI, the leaders and learning about them.
Gameplay has a good enough AI that makes you always have to adapt to win a victory instead of being overly easy for you. (if you don't play multiplayer).
The graphics are solid, the music is great, and the story is essentially a retelling of history.
The leaders have personality and charm baked into their designs; most of them look solid, and the overall aesthetic of the environments, icons, UI elements, and world map reads as intentional and cohesive rather than cheap.
No pay to win, DLC leaders and civs don't give a massive advantage over others, and DLC isn't needed to fully enjoy the game.
