What players think
The recurring themes across 241 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Exploration between encounters keeps progression from becoming a repetitive sequence of battles.
The difficulty ramp is excellent and the unlocks happen in a reasonable timeframe.
Every character has a unique silhouette, too, which is impressive given the current roster of 38.
The game itself is fun and engaging but its the art style and creativity of the characters and the lil cute bug facts that make me love this game.
It seriously shows that the developers were very passionate about matching the design to their insectoid inspirations; great care was taken to preserve the unique aspects of any given bug, carefully avoiding excessive anthropomorphism while adapting them into bipedal forms that can wield weapons.
The models are also surprisingly dynamic, pointing their attacks in the actual angle the enemy is in, and you can even jiggle them about a little if you grab them in the inventory menu.
