this is a bit of a special game. i had played dollmare ,i like creepy but not really a fan of horror but i wanted to play another deduction type of game. when i bought it i thought it was going to be a very basic game where you are in that house & you have to guess which doll is planning on killing you . i am playing on the steamdeck & the first time i tried to play through the tutorial i couldn't work out the controls or what was going on. the controls are really easy so for amyome on steamdeck to interact with objects its the a button , to unlock & lock the door it is the y button, to move around you can use the sticks & also you can use the trackpad & press a. during the tutorial at first you can't click on everything but as you play on you can. oh & you can zoom in by pressing the steam button & the left shoulder button. i just played through the tutorial & started a new game thinking it would be in the exact same location, i thought the whole game was in that tutorial area but its not. i have only just a minute ago completed & won my first game, i wondered why i had money in the game when i didnt have a shop available & when i searched for more info online it said about career mode & on my game i only have classic mode plus some locations that are currently locked. if i am understanding it correctly apparently as you play the game you unlock stuff & eventually you unlock career mode & get to play what looks like a completely different game with all sorts of tools available. i was not expecting that at all & i can't wait to play it...hopefully i am good enough at the game to get that far. the environment & graphics are fantastic & the atmosphere, a doll got me on my first try because i didnt lock or shut the door. it is a great game, im really enjoying it so far. definately recommend , it is cheap & worth every penny. im looking forward to doll inc as well.
