The graphics are unbelievable for the age of the title and a sure mark of Kojima and his team's capabilities, if the story-telling, art-style, and gameplay don't say for itself.

Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
The game and its optimization is extraordinary, I'm running a 1070 and can max out the graphics AND use an 'extra high' graphics mod maximizing LOD and distant shadows and even simulated shadows for the volumetric clouds, and I'm still running at an ever-smooth and consistent 60 frames per second with absolutely zero drops in performance in any location in the game, nor any parameters I've come across.

• The Sound of Silence: While the 80s soundtrack fits, the absence of sweeping orchestral compositions leaves certain emotional moments feeling restrained rather than monumental.
