METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

The graphics are unbelievable for the age of the title and a sure mark of Kojima and his team's capabilities, if the story-telling, art-style, and gameplay don't say for itself.

Unlike previous Metal Gear titles, the story is less spoon-fed and requires more thinking during the actual play -- something Redditors still ♥♥♥♥♥ about which is hilarious to me, coming from the "reading comprehension is my passion" crowd.

The combat and gunplay is really responsive and fun, unlocking weapons and gears are fun.

For a open world game released in 2015, its graphics still hold up to my standards.

The game features the most reactive and manipulable enemies in the genre—completely consistent to play against, capable of reacting in dozens of different ways depending on the player’s actions, and perfectly integrated into multiple dynamic difficulty systems that span the entire map.

On both PS5 and PC, the game runs flawlessly at 60 FPS with near-perfect stability — it is still a benchmark for optimization.
