What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on.
The vibe is nice, the characters and dialogues are quirkily likable, the background music during runs fits the gameplay perfectly and kinda reminded me of the old DOOM games.
The graphics in this game are okayish, obviously inspired by the art style of Valheim, which at least makes the game look more appealing (to some, I guess).
A short but sweet FPS that looks like Halloween inspired colourful levels and characters !
The game play is fun and fast paced (I play on Medium difficulty), the enemies are very cool and each one has their own unique abilities.
Harbinger is a title that has surprised and impressed me in equal parts in all aspects: main story, characters, gameplay and soundtrack.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
