With some planning, and exploration in the world map section, the difficulty was pretty manageable.
That fight made me actually strategize, use all weapons, think of positioning.
The opening cinematic does a great job of setting up the stakes for the world (a vaguely post-WWII narrative except there are mechs and after the defeat of a major power, those mechs were just left where they were due to a lack of logistical support, so they were reclaimed by regular people).
Great stuff, scratches that itch left by Front Mission, visuals and "filters" looks great, but could use some polish.
Audio - wise, the music for this game goes hard, and the voice acting is pretty good.
The combat system is actually pretty good, but the final fight was brutally hard compared to everything else.
