What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
What I mean is I feel like having a fully maxed flail should have the same gameplay significance as having a fully maxed laser tower setup or fully maxed drone setup or fully maxed nuke setup.
I love the visuals, and the combo of so many golden age arcade games is just amazing.
The soundtrack by Datassette is equally evocative, blending electronic tension and retro warmth into a soundscape that perfectly supports the escalating danger of each wave.
I found this hard to play on steamdeck using two analog sticks.
Absolutely worth it, but I also find myself wishing after 13 hours that there was more to do -- some sort of daily quest, or hermit/berserker separated leaderboards, or new challenges, or a win condition.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
