What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story is neat, and deals with the supernatural.
The puzzles were not too difficult, I was able to solve everything without asking for a hint.
The story is thought out, the controls are very to use, the graphics are pleasing (the hand brush painted type of graphics where there’s not so much animation, but rather layering images on top of each other in sequence), and most importantly, there are very few to no glitches (I heard someone say something about one in Linux, but I’m Win7).
I was surprised by the quality of voice acting and music in general.
But the story itself is good, if a little out of the ballpark, and the gameplay was fun and relaxing.
(Luckily there are skip buttons available for cutscenes so you can just read the subtitles and move on if you so desire) My only complaint--and it's more of a critcism--is that none of the hidden object scenes were anywhere near as challenging as they are in other Artifex Mundi games.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
