A Boy and His Blob

There's no shortage of anti-frustration features: unlimited lives, absolutely no penalty for death, and abundant level checkpoints.

The graphics are pretty good, but, with my computer at least, when I set it to a lower resolution and put it in full screen mode, there was some screen tearing that got annoying.

A charming little puzzle-platformer based on the rather obscure NES game of the same name, A Boy and his Blob not only offers a diverse array of item-based challenges, but constantly shuffles what items the player is allowed to use, forcing the player to always think differently while maintaining a pleasant level of difficulty that only occasionally dips into "frustrating".

The soundtrack matches the game's relaxed pace with soft orchestral compositions that create a comforting atmosphere without overpowering the gameplay.

Controls: The controls are all fully mappable on both keyboard and controller.
