The inclusion of reinforcements via railways and checkpoints is a welcome addition and adds a fun new mechanic to the classic SS gameplay, be ware that the enemy can also receive reinforcements.

The graphics and SFX are crisp without being overbearing and the minimum requirements should suit most gamers.

I've played through the campaigns on hard which offer a challenging but fair difficulty to experienced strategy players.

I don't play multiplayer, so cannot comment on that or its' current limitations, but the campaign is a lot of fun.

You are forced to go slow, your units aren't "invincible", or completely impenetrable(vehicles like Matilda 1-2 are brutally tough cookies like IRL, just needs a lot of fire on them), but you can see what they were going for which is massive carnage, and fun as move your literal hundreds of units in a wide variety of ways using terrain, captured weapons, and more.

The visual and audio design are fantastic, and as a longtime WWII tank enthusiast, I’ve also really enjoyed the attention given to the vehicles and overall authenticity.
