What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It had clever humor, nice references and fantastic characters.
The characters are unique, interesting and lively, and the graphics are gorgeous without putting too much strain on a computer (as a laptop gamer, I especially appreciate this as there is nothing sadder to me than a game I really want to play with specs that my computer can just about manage with lags).
I would however have liked a bit more sound effects in the game itself.
Original Book of Unwritten tales was a complete surprise - it was released at the time when it seemed that comedic adventure games were truly gone there was that game, looking good, voice acted good, with a restrained amount of pop references and very strong self identity and pretty good gameplay.
A charming, hilarious and fun adventure with the perfect balance of puzzle difficulty.
For those interested, in contrast to the first game, TBoUT2 works also flawlessly on Linux in my experience.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
