There is a lot of repetition in re-identifying recurring characters and, frustratingly, you are only able to get certain keywords from specific clues, which feels more like padding than a valid or viable gameplay mechanic.

Character portraits, dramatic lighting, and cinematic framing all contribute to a distinctive noir aesthetic that fits the story perfectly.

Its strong visual style, engaging mystery structure, and emphasis on investigative gameplay create an experience that feels both nostalgic and immersive for players who enjoy detective-driven narratives.

As another reviewer mentioned, they often felt simply too easy, while also going out of their way to paint the through-line of the plot; while much of the material was already present in the puzzles, and a viewer would probably work it out for themselves, the game made sure to pointedly detail the ins and out of the case instead, which I think took away from the overall exposure; it fell a lot more into "tell", rather than "show."
