Some downsides include needing the other two characters for late-game, whose stats are RNG which I'd rather not have to worry about (especially with only 3 chances for rerolls), lack of variety for builds (Buffing the Concentration [Spacebar power] stat is likely the only good option, then probably Strength for a passive boost), and could've used achievements to provide some incentive for challenges.
