Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut is a Metroidvania platformer with some charm, but looses some of that charm due to PC port quirks, paper thin plot, and somewhat confusing backtracking mechanics
The gameplay is fine, but lost it's luster for me quickly and the thin plot and simple characters demotivated me from sticking with it.
Risky's Revenge is a passable platformer that has stiff controls, it's better parts are the appealing visuals and it's energetic soundtrack creating a charming audio-visual experience.
- A great soundtrack

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
