It's well done and balances your increase in power with an increase in hostiles, and it really brings the intensity up greatly, especially with the two new mechanics that comes with the zone.

The way the inmersion is achieved in this game is one I haven't seen in a while, with shockingly good and well designed backgrounds and layouts that make you feel like a traveler going around an infested land of monsters, and some haunting and ominous ambient music that waves upon your ears like the perfect soundtrack for these liminal spaces.
