The main mechanic that is missing is controller support, so you have to play using a very odd keyboard layout (arrow keys to move, with alt, ctrl and z and x used to rotate the character, which is critical to succeeding).
While the story is lighthearted, it provides enough motivation to keep the adventure moving forward, allowing the gameplay to remain the true focus.

The colorful characters, bright environments, and cartoon-inspired art style possess a timeless charm that remains appealing despite obvious technical limitations by today's standards.
The cheerful atmosphere extends into the sound design as well, with lively music and expressive sound effects complementing the energetic pace of each stage.
Getting this game to run is a bit difficult but there's a guide in the community tab that helps you set the resolution to 1080p and I think with some tinkering it's also possible to run this game on the Steam Deck.
