Pretty good alternative for GVG. 10 hours in and already got 12 characters excluding free and borrowed ones and haven't spent any money for this.
The gameplay is pretty much what you'd expect if you've played GVG, the character designs are pretty good and they play distinct enough.
For casual PVP, I do recommend it.
The movement all together is somewhat jank due to being more focused on mobile, but it still allows for comfortable gameplay on controller and mouse & keyboard.
Overall, Starward succeeds in delivering an engaging multiplayer arena fighter built around exhilarating aerial combat, stylish anime-inspired visuals, and rewarding competitive gameplay.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
