The art style is very nice, but it's a bit of an uncanny turn-of-the-millennium United States.
Your character selection is low as in boy or girl, and the pixel are slightly varies between them but you do get to select from a drop down menu of backgrounds for them, you gain more as you complete more of the game.
But the difficulty ramps up perfectly along with the things you uncover, unlocking new skills and traits through emergent gameplay and from levelling up the passengers in your vehicle.
