Monster Train 2

The art direction is both gorgeous and often times silly, the soundtrack is "no skips" banger after banger, and the little story and world building snippets between runs are fun additions that builds upon the foundations set by the first game.

The difficulty settings I believe transition better as compared to Monster Train 1.

Graphics are crisp and clean, allowing for easy reading and understanding of what is going on during game play.

I'm still not amazing at the game, but Monster Train's enjoyable deck builds, vibrant personality and kick ass soundtrack has kept me playing for hours on end.

The deck combinations and creativity in how you're able to customize your runs and individual cards is something I felt was missing in it's contemporaries, and the tower defense style "wave after wave" combat is incredibly engaging and has your attention planning not just one character's turn but effectively up to 4 battles at once per turn.

It's also a perfect Steam Deck game, it runs fantastically, great graphics, great battery life, brilliant controller support, and is just perfect for that device.
