Thankfully a lot of good stuff from the first game has been carried on, alongside great improvements in graphics and textures to create areas with a strong sense of environmental feel.
Still, like Quake 1, the gameplay holds up.
Oh, but good for the team getting an industrial grunge band to play their soundtrack.
But if you want more, guides on Steam and elsewhere will get you many, many more levels beyond the 30 (24 + 6 secret levels) single-player levels in the base campaign and a better multiplayer experience.
