The gameplay is smooth, options for what you can do and play with are broad (far over from what I expected), the contols are easy to pick up and play. and feels like the bases of a nice local co-op game.

Each new firearm, explosive, or specialty tool introduces subtle shifts in playstyle, encouraging experimentation rather than passive optimization.

This not only offers player choice (you can obviously pick what weapons you should or shouldn’t use) but it keeps the action fresh and always has you excited to gun down more freaks even though the hordes are getting bigger and tougher.

embraces a retro pixel-art style, not out of limitation but deliberate design, giving the battlefield crisp readability even as dozens—or hundreds—of enemies flood the screen.

The learning curve isn't high, but the difficulty ramps up fairly quickly, especially if you're playing alone, but at no point did I rage quit out of frustration.

Paired with its energetic electronic soundtrack that loops and pulses in sync with the action, the game conveys a sense of unstoppable motion that suits its premise perfectly.
