Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
The gameplay mechanics itselves have a bit of a learning-curve (especially for people like me, whom have never played M:TG), but overall I am positive regarding gameplay.

Combat
Players who bring up Combat mostly praise it.
Instead of trying to balance two equally dominant systems, the sequel clearly prioritizes its card-based combat while streamlining the surrounding structure, resulting in a game that feels more cohesive, even if it sacrifices some of the ambition that made the original so distinctive.
