What players think
The recurring themes across 152 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The quests are really easy, the music and ambiant noises (like birds singing) are really peaceful.
- Cozy, cutesie feel, nothing inappropriate or too scary for children in the visuals or story.
- Nice music, especially the dramatic score (e.g. when there’s a storm).
not necessarily a bad thing, but i felt myself thinking "i could just play star stable" . no voice acted npc dialogue makes the sound design quite boring and repetitive. its definitely not bad, the horse animations are nice and the gameplay doesn't feel overly clunky or rushed, but i didn't feel like there was any reward to keep me engaged with quests and i wasnt a fan of some of the textures either, along with the horse options being a bit strange and unrealistic e.g bright green eyes
I was surprised to find the naming scheme for horse and rider is a drop down menu, but I actually really enjoyed combining two words from the drop-down menu to name my horse (Grimfortune; a little odd but I'm goth), and I was thrilled to see the rider name generator had one of my go-to names (Willow).
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 4 sampled reviews and are not shown.
