This is very motivational - rather than treading water with quick "reviews" to keep up some arbitrary streak like in a typical language learning app, the incentive is to learn more to progress the actual story.
I would love to see more gameplay featurres as well as more prefectures are added.
Works well on Steam Deck and with controller, though I think to get a decent speed score on some of the tests you're going to want a mouse/leyboard unless you're very quick moving a cursor around to select kana.
The graphics are very nice and the sound design is great, I love interacting with the animals and the sounds they make.
