What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It has incredible presentation, serviceable plot, an incredibly rich and deep gameplay, and tons of mods on top of that.
This game, released with the subtitle Enemy Unknown in 2012, may not have been exactly what the old-school players who cut their teeth on the original series were expecting, but overall, the strategy game proved to be a great option for fans of tactical gameplay.
Graphics have a more rral feel that doesn't feel as much like you're playing with action figures with some fun cinematic shots of the action and very cool looking maps.
The voice acting is also pretty good.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
