But I still like BG3, recommend it, and replay it plenty- Because the story and RPG mechanics are strong enough that I enjoy it, even if it is a game of slots at the end of the day (although it does seem more consistent about chances of actually hitting something above a 90% chance).

The story and overall structure also show how much work went into the game.

The game is extremely well designed, from weapons, research and enemies to progression and mission variety, with a lot of thought put into avoiding repetition.

The game has improved/enhanced visuals compared to XCOM: Enemy Unknown as soldiers, aliens, and overall map environments all have higher textures/details.

The gameplay is satisfying, the progression can be difficult but it is manageable, beautiful looking scenes, and so much character customization available for your squad.

Audio is pretty good, probably better quality than Enemy Within in ost department, cause ambient and gameplay noise was already without any complaints great.
