It has a good grind level and rewards that feel good to replace gear and get power spikes from combining different affixes together.

The Darkest Dungeon art style was a fun choice and this game clearly wears it's influences on it's sleeve, but spices up all of the formulas in just the right quantity to feel like something fun to play and progress in.

Every run (or at least every 2-3 runs) would boost your power to the point that you could either attempt a new floor or have a noticeably easier time with your current floor/difficulty.

simple and fun. many build and equipment options to keep a person entertained for a while. it is well worth the money. i like the updates and hope to see more classes like a necromancer.

runs absolutely flawlessly on steam deck, and my PC (ryzen 5 3600 6-core 3.6ghz, 16gb ram, nvidia geforce 4060, 2 2tb ssd) so if people are saying its laggy they have to be playing on a literal 10-20 year old potato or something lol
