The graphics are pretty good as well, since it's a nice mixture of Terraria with more details and a 2,5D perspective with a steampunk stamp all over it, although it feels a bit repetitive after a while.
These devs chose gameplay and atmosphere first and foremost, everything else came second, and feels half baked due to what I'm sure were budgetary constraints.
