dialogue and graphics were also very pretty :3 my only complaint is if you're trying to achievement grind, everything gets extremely repetitive and you start to have your icks; camera movement can be heinous at times, in many of the boss battles it gets very glitchy and you can't deliver the final move right away, and voice lines overlap frequently. regardless, i completely recommend if you love a zombie game with a cutesy mc.
Fans of fast-paced hack-and-slash gameplay mixed with tongue-in-cheek storytelling will find RePOP to be an exciting homage and a fresh experience rolled into one.
Developed with a keen eye toward maintaining the original’s unique blend of campy humor, outrageous combat, and colorful aesthetics, this version updates and refines many of the core elements while preserving the wild, tongue-in-cheek spirit that made the original so memorable.
All of this is backed by a badass soundtrack.
Its engaging combat, colorful visuals, and quirky humor make it a standout title for fans of hack-and-slash games looking for something bold and different.
Both the controller and keyboard + mouse work well, but whenever I had to use the Chainsaw Blaster (in Nightmare Mode) or went for the "No Fear of Heights" achievement, I had to switch to keyboard + mouse.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
