Personally, I consider the turndown in difficulty to be a good thing; back then you almost had to make a game crazy hard just to keep it from being boring when you've only got a few kilobytes to hold all your game data...these days our computers have enough storage to hold better gameplay and *gasp* plot.

It's a fun action shooter that stops short of being frustratingly-hard, and it's got some cat meow sound effects (note: this is _not_ a lolcat meme game, don't misunderstand...the sound effects are appropriate).
