Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
Gameplay: You play from the perspective of the "Majesty", you have 3 types of serfs: Tax collectors, Peasants, and Guards.

Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
The visuals are dated, the interface primitive and the core concept -- the "D&D ant farm" -- has been expanded upon by the likes of the brilliant Dwarf Fortress and its derivatives.

Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
The presentation is also helped by it's voice acting, the heros all have really memorable (usually humorous) lines, and the game's narrator does a Sean Connery impression which has to be seen to be believed.

Multiplayer
Players who bring up Multiplayer mostly praise it.
They've made a free HD version, and even updated game with Steam multiplayer option.

Interface
Players who bring up Interface mostly praise it.
The only possible advantage to Majesty Gold is that you can launch Majesty seperate from the Northern Expansion, which kind of makes the map look less cluttered.
