What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
- Potentially huge replayability (the reason i say potentially will be explained in the cons section) - this is basically because of the previous point and because of the way gear and builds are constructed (much more similar to ARPGs like Diablo, PoE and Grim Dawn than to roguelikes).
I have not personally ran into bugs, the game has ran great, save for one crash in the open world. dungeons and exploring feels great, spells and combat reminds me of other roguelites like pixel dungeon or caves of qud, so it feels easy to adjust to. you get really cool items that are enchanted and buff your character in different ways depending on what you find in that area which i really liked. it just scratches that itch for dungeoning perfectly. you also get to see other players characters in the global chat or whisper to them which i thought was cool too. for the black friday sale, it was 3 dollars. there's probably so much more i haven't found yet. honestly wish i found this game earlier.
Cutscenes and other visuals really tie the game's aesthetic down, and in terms of how traditional roguelikes are developed I don't think the graphical fidelity could really increase.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
