The soundtrack is beautiful and incredibly nostalgic, the sound effects are great (although Rockfall nearly blows up my headset every time), and the colorful art style has aged remarkably well.

And behind the veneer of artlessness, the game displays great care and attention to detail over and over again, surprising you with stuff like unique boss fights or an inventory item that turns into a full extra dungeon.
